Thanks to all who have joined to make this a great team. Yesterday we made posters for for our bathroom and upcoming Waste Free Lunch Day!

We were a success with our Waste Free Lunch!

Thank you Staff for all your help in our Waste Free Lunch. The Green Team

did a super job, even getting their " gloves" dirty and helping to put the

waste in the right bin. Our totals were:

Total amount of trash ( including recycled materials): 118.4 lbs

36.8 lbs were trash

82.6 lbs was recycled materials ( 44.8 lbs paper products, 19.8 lbs compost,

17.0 lbs. plastic)

How awesome! We are saving our landfills and reducing our carbon footprint at TTES!

Colorcycle Marker Recycling
Turn Markers into Energy! We are half way there! Bring any old markers to the Art Room!
Tarawa Terrace Elementary School is participating in the Crayola Colorcycle program. We are recycling old markers and sending them back so that they can be turned into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes and even cook a meal. Please join us by putting your old markers in the box in front of the art room. We will be weighing this box monthly to see how many pounds of markers we can collect by Earth Day!
